Partner Overview
How the Farm Medix platform supports your work with the farms you serve, from Snapshot and Herdscreen logistics through to hygiene and teat care follow-up.
💻 📱 Works the same on phone or desktop
1. Your role on the platform
Staying close to what's happening on your farms' udder health and hygiene is at the centre of what you do. Seeing their situation, context, and trends as they happen means you can support them better, walk into any visit already prepared, and help them keep both performance and cost under control.
Through the Farm Medix platform you can:
✅ Request and work on a farm's behalf for Snapshot and Herdscreen, including the scheduling, logistics, and information collection that keep both running smoothly.
✅ See every result and report in one place, as a farmer would, in digital form and as a PDF ready to share or print.
✅ Follow a farm's statistics and individual animals, so you can offer proactive hygiene and teat care advice exactly when it's needed.
✅ Stay accessible to the farmer and their team through the chat feature, so you're on hand for any hygiene or udder health question as it comes up.
What follows is a quick tour of the platform, section by section, so you know where to find each of these.
2. Dashboard
The dashboard is deliberately simple: a quick read on your connections, results, and any farm that needs attention.

Dashboard · the four stat tiles below the weather panel
Farm Portfolio
The farms currently under your oversight.
Pending Reports
Reports not yet delivered to the farm, so nothing sits finished but unseen.
New Results
Fresh Snapshot and Herdscreen results as they land.
Farms Gone Quiet
Farms with no report in 45 or more days, a natural prompt to check in.
A milk price widget sits below the tiles for quick reference during farm conversations.
3. Lab Tests
Everything you need to run, request, or review a farm's testing lives here, for every farm you're connected to.
Snapshot
All results and statistics are available in digital form, and as a PDF ready to share or print. Farm actions arising from a Snapshot report are tracked from there.
✅ Start Snapshot Surveillance or a single Snapshot for a farm.
✅ Fill out the Snapshot form on the farm's behalf. For farms on Snapshot Surveillance, milk samples are collected through MilkTestNZ or Hill Labs and a short form is sent directly to the farmer, you can assist with that at any time.

Herdscreen
All results and statistics are available in digital form and as a PDF, and animal-level results become part of that animal's history.
✅ Request Herdscreen for a farm and manage the scheduling and logistics involved, including Herdscreen kit freight.

On-farm testing (Mastitis Cases)
This is where a farm's individual mastitis cases are tracked, from sample through to diagnosis. You can help set a case up on the farm's behalf, for example while onboarding a new farm, since you're often the one physically on site.

Where your role ends and the vet's begins
Once a case is diagnosed, any treatment follows the farm's own vet protocol, doses, product, and withholding, set by their vet. Your part is helping the sample get collected and the case started cleanly; the clinical call stays with the farm and their vet.
Herd test results
Herd test results can be imported for a full performance and udder health picture of the animals. Farm Medix is currently working on integrations to automate this data exchange with LIC and CRV.
4. Animal Health
This is where your hygiene and teat care expertise has the most direct line to the farm, particularly through Farm Actions.
Action: Animal Actions
This is where every action underway at animal level lives, at the farm you're viewing. A toggle at top right switches between Animal Actions and Farm Actions. This view is built more for farmers and vets, since it covers individual treatment steps, but it's there for you to see for information or training, so you understand what's happening with the animals on a farm.
Act Now
Animals that need an action, usually a treatment to be entered or recorded.
Active Care
Animals currently receiving care. This is where farmers log doses, and where treatments can be escalated.
Completed
Animals for which actions are done, kept for reference.

Action: Farm Actions
This is where the recommended actions from Snapshot reports land, and it's the part of the platform closest to your own expertise. Every action is sorted into a category, so you can see at a glance where a farm needs hygiene, teat care, or milking procedure attention, and work through the list with the farmer using your own product knowledge.

Starting an action, with an optional note
This is your workspace
Hygiene and teat care make up a large share of what shows up here, wearing gloves during milking, cluster hygiene, teat preparation, milking machine checks. When you start an action, you can add a note on how it was addressed, which stays on the farm's record.
Insights
Insights is where a farm's mastitis testing, performance, and treatment history live: clinical and subclinical case counts, treatments given, and selective antibiotic reduction for clinical cases. Choose one farm or several for comparison, and pick a time period and view. It's a useful context check before a visit, showing you the wider pattern behind the hygiene actions you're following up on.

Insights · case and treatment trends for the farms you support
Vet Protocol
This is where a farm's veterinary protocol can be viewed, the rules their vet has set for treating each pathogen. It's there so you can see what's in place for a farm, not something you set or edit, that stays with the farm's vet.
5. Farm Records
Every farm you support, with full history at a glance.
Farms
See the farms you're connected to and their information.
Animals
See animals across all your connected farms, their statuses, and their history.
Herds
See the herds each farm has created.
6. Network
Managing your organisation, your farm connections, and your team.
My Organisation
Keep your organisation's contact information current.
Connections
Request new connections with farms, approve connection requests sent to you, and check the status of every connection. You can also reassign farms to other members of your team.
Team
Manage your team: add staff, update contact information and roles, and set out of office, picking a colleague to cover for you while you're away.
7. Staying in touch
The chat function and notifications keep you connected to every farm you support, and to Farm Medix.
Chat keeps you in touch with the farm team and with Farm Medix for anything you need to raise, a question on hygiene or udder health, a note on a result, or simply keeping everyone informed. Notifications is where you'll see all of these in one place, so nothing gets missed.
